Procedures
The Honorary Consulate of North Florida has limited functions and is dependent on the Consulate General of Spain in Miami.
The following procedures can be carried out:

Emergencies
Support in critical situations such as accidents, hospitalizations, arrests, or deaths. The consulate acts as a liaison with family members, local authorities, and the Consulate General in Miami.
Local Entities
It acts as a bridge between the Spanish community and local authorities (municipalities, hospitals, educational centers), fostering dialogue on community issues.
Consular Registration
Assistance with registering or updating your information in the Consular Registration. This registration allows you to access consular services and exercise rights such as voting from abroad.

Minors' passport
Receiving and processing passport applications for children under 12 years of age.

Certificate of Life
Issuance of life certificates, required for pensions or other procedures before Spanish official bodies. This is done by the interested party appearing in person.
Documents
Consular documents already processed and authorized by the Consulate General are received and forwarded.

Marriages
Receiving documentation to register a marriage celebrated in the U.S. in the Consular Civil Registry, which will be processed by the Consulate General in Miami.

Cultural Promotion
Active participation in the organization of cultural, educational, and commemorative events that strengthen ties between Spain and the local community. We collaborate with institutions, universities, and cultural centers in the region.

Authorizations
Issuance of in-person authorization by parents or legal guardians so that the minor can apply for a passport at another Spanish consulate outside this area.

Notary Public
The Honorary Consulate offers notary services recognized by the State of Florida, valid for documents that must be submitted to Spanish authorities, such as sworn statements, authorizations, or simple powers of attorney. Cost upon request.

NIE/NIF
Processing applications for NIE (National Identity Document) or NIF (Tax Identification Number), both for foreign and Spanish citizens who require one for legal or tax reasons (home purchases, account opening, inheritances, etc.). The documentation is sent to the Spanish Consulate General in Miami.

Certified translations
Certified translation services are offered from English to Spanish (and vice versa), valid for official Spanish institutions (civil registries, universities, legal proceedings, etc.).
